Avocado has recently gained superhero status thanks to the fact that it is packed full of nutrients and antioxidants. This humble fruit is actually something of an evolutionary marvel. Way back when, in the age of mammoths and other super large mammals, the avocado was attractive to these creatures as they could eat it whole and disperse its large pit seed miles away when they defecated. In this way, they ensured it’s growth through seed dispersion. Once this animals died out, the avocado should also have declined but for some reason, that didn’t happen.
I digress but I find that fact quite fascinating. The properties that make avocado so great as a superfood, are also the same properties that make it beneficial as a skincare product.
